About Us

Aylesbury Town Bowls Club welcomes new members, not only for playing and social membership, but also for the friendship that it generates within the club. We promote the game of flat green bowling and welcome new members, our season runs from April to September.

Aylesbury Town was founded in 1920 on the Wendover Road, Aylesbury site and is a fully mixed club. The present green has been there for over 50 years. We are part of the sports complex of the Aylesbury and District Sports Club, which includes tennis, squash, hockey, cricket and table tennis.

The Club facilities and the bowls green are top class. A much used facility by Buckinghamshire Bowls and visiting County Bowls Associations. The club facilities are a popular venue for meetings/dinners etc, supported by club members.

The rink is available for present and new members for roll-ups at any time and organised roll-ups are available on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am for full members and Friday evenings at 6:00 pm for all members throughout the season.

The club is fully accessible and has two special bowls green wheelchairs. Each year a match takes place against a team from The British Wheelchair Bowlers.  We offer our facilities to Stoke Mandeville Hospital Spinal Unit for patients to play bowls and the U3A have a bowls session each week.
